About

The mission of RYTC is to provide professional support for Yoga teachers/studios who offer services in rural communities and to promote community awareness of these services. The support offered is in the form of professional development through peer teaching, promotion of each other’s services and collaboration on programs and advertising. This is an all volunteer organization based on service, non-competition, mutual respect and consciousness. All fees collected for web site postings are used directly for web management, RYTC advertising and programs.

About Our Meetings

Our meetings are designed to support the mission of the RYTC. Through our meetings we offer opportunities for professional development, networking and discussion of RYTC “business.” It is our intention to complete the meeting within an hour and a half time frame.

Meeting Format

  1. Opening/Centering- done by a volunteer at the meeting.
  2. 20-30 minute professional training on a topic related to Yoga or small business development-this is a mini-workshop typically offered by a participant who volunteered for this role at a previous meeting or by email. We will also, on occasion, invite other professionals to provide training on topics outside the groups realm of expertise.
  3. Discussion of old and new business.
  4. Joys and Challenges – a period of sharing where participants can ask yoga or business questions of other members or share helpful bits of information.
  5. Closing – done by a volunteer present at the meeting.
